Sarah Ferguson has reportedly taken a big step for her former husband Prince Andrew recently, it has been claimed.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, per GB News, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie’s mother rejected King Charles offer for Prince Andrew.

The report claims, King Charles offered a seat to Sarah in the carriage procession as she attended Royal Ascot alongside several senior members of the Royal Family.

However, Sarah declined this privilege "apparently to spare the feelings of her ex-husband", who ‘loved the pomp of the procession.’

She declined it despite it being an honour she had been denied since her divorce with Prince Andrew back in 1996.

Meanwhile, it is also claimed: "Andrew, who loved the pomp of the procession, was allowed at the pre-racing lunch but banned from attending the racing."

Sarah Ferguson and her daughter Princess Eugenie attended the Royal Ascot, where they were warmly greeted by King Charles.

The King was also joined by another of his nieces, Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, who looked delighted to see her royal family members.

Eugenie and Zara appeared to follow royal protocol as they curtsied for the King and Queen, after they arrived at the race meet by carriage, having taken part in the traditional royal procession, which celebrated its 200th anniversary.
