Prince William releases new statement after wife Kate Middleton's interview

Prince William has shared a new statement after his wife Kate Middleton got candid about the “challenging” phase post cancer treatment.

The Kensington Palace dropped glimpses of the Prince of Wales’ solo visit to the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival in Hertfordshire.

Highlighting his commitment to sustainable farming, William engaged with speakers and initiatives that reflect the eco-friendly practices supported by the Duchy of Cornwall.

In an accompanying statement, they wrote, “Dropping into the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival yesterday.”

“Fantastic to listen to speakers on subjects aligning with the work of the Duchy of Cornwall’s tenant farmers, who are exploring innovative ways of farming on the road to net zero, and how to work with nature, not against it,” the statement added.

This came as Kate Middleton opened up about her post-cancer journey as she revealed that she is still finding “new normal” following the treatment.

Speaking with patients and staff at the Colchester Hospital in Essex, the Princess of Wales said, “You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”

“You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to,” she continued.

Kate further added, “Someone to help talk you through that, show you and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable.”

She went on to add that it “takes time” to find a “new normal” once cancer treatments end, saying, “It’s a roller-coaster, it’s not smooth, like you expect it to be.”

“But the reality is you go through hard times.”
