A royal expert has revealed King Charles true feelings for his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle after the duchess married to Prince Harry.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl had exposed the monarch’s true feelings for Meghan in her book The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown back in 2018.

The expert highlighted the monarch’s view of Meghan as "resilient" and someone who firmly stands her ground, according to the OK! Magazine.

Katie writes in the book, “Prince Charles [the then Prince of Wales] admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It's become a term of endearment."

The report also says Meghan's charm and wit also earned her the title of a "breakout star" within the family.

As per the claims, King Charles friends, quoted the monarch expressing his fondness for Meghan, saying: "She is so intelligent and so nice. She makes Harry happy. We could not like her more."

Meghan Markle tied the knot to Harry in May 2018 and they share two children Archie and Lilibet together.

They moved to US after stepping down as senior royals in 2020.
