Brad Pitt is reportedly facing a midlife crisis as he tries to appear cool and relevant.

Following his conversation with GQ where the reporter commented on his ‘really cool outfits’ and Pitt replied, ‘you gotta have fun’, insiders have revealed that the F1 actor is ‘devastated’ right now.

Speaking about Pitt, who has no relationship with his six children, whom he shares with ex Angelina Jolie, the insider stated to RadarOnline, “It's common knowledge how devastated Brad is to be estranged from his kids right now, and there's a lot of pressure on him for this movie to be a success.”

“A lot of people think he's just doing whatever he can to appear cool and relevant,” the source added.

As the actor made headlines with his stylish appearances recently, the tipster said, “Brad feels younger and more hip wearing these things.”

“To a lot of people, though, this reeks of a midlife crisis, like he's trying to overcompensate, and he's making himself look pretty lame in the process,” they added of his fashion style.

Notably, Pitt also commented about his shorn locks, saying that it was for the role he played.

However, the source stated, "Brad is obsessed with keeping his hair in its best possible condition. His hair was put through the wringer and he wanted a fresh start."

It is worth mentioning that the source also noted that while Brad Pitt is distant from his kids Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Pax, he has “last real chance to rebuild a connection” with his minor children: twins Vivienne and Knox, 16.
