Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex is set to make major moves in order to reconcile with his family without involving Meghan Markle.
Insiders have recently revealed to RadarOnline that the youngest son of King Charles is planning a UK return without his wife.
Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal roles in 2020. Following Megxit the couple made some shocking allegations against the members of the royal family in Oprah Winfrey interview, their Netflix series Harry & Meghan, and the Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spare.
These led to their deepened rift with the royal family.
While Harry expressed his desire to reconcile with his family, there has been no contact.
Moreover, the royal family’s Armed Forces Day tribute also included Harry recently, despite his career in the military.
Now an insider told the outlet, “Harry didn't expect the fallout to drag on this long. He's beginning to see that including Meghan only complicates things with the royals, so he's accepted – though not happily – that going it alone might be the only option for now.”
“He's finally realized that the way he handled things before hasn't brought any progress, and this marks a genuine shift in how he’s trying to move forward,” they added.
As per the sources this move is “incredibly hard” for Harry, who “cares deeply” for his wife.
“If there's any hope of reconnecting with his family, he knows he has to try without her. And he knows he will have to make a trip back to Britain without her with his tail between his legs and begging bowl in his hands,” the insider stated.
They added, “He wants back into the royal fold and is feeling totally lost in America – it's Meghan's home and world, not his.”
Prince Harry will be inviting King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
“Harry really wants his family to show up and support the event. He understands that, in the royals' eyes, he and Meghan together can be seen as a source of tension, so keeping some distance between them may be the only way to make progress right now,” the source shared.
However, an insider revealed that Meghan Markle is “reluctant” to go back to the UK as “there’s a lot of bad blood and unresolved issues.”
However, the Duchess of Sussex is still backing Prince Harry’s decision as he “wants to make things right with his family.”
