Victoria Beckham’s long-running fashion label is facing a renewed financial crisis, with an insider saying the business is struggling under “continued liabilities, widening losses and a negative net worth.”
According to Closer magazine, these pressures have pushed Beckham to explore a potential sale — a move that has left the designer feeling “humiliated,” especially after releasing her recent Netflix docuseries.
“Victoria is devastated – the brand means everything to her. She’s embarrassed the business is still struggling, especially after filming the documentary… the numbers aren’t easy to ignore,” the insider said.
They added that Beckham is seeking “around £350 million” for the label, calling it “ambitious, but that’s the dream scenario. She wants a buyer who sees long-term potential. And, frankly, she needs the deal.”
Beckham launched her luxury fashion house in 2008, followed by a beauty line in 2019. Despite global recognition, the business has yet to turn a profit.
This year, shareholders — including Victoria and David Beckham, along with Neo — injected another £6.2 million, with losses reportedly nearing £5 million.
In her Netflix series, Beckham spoke openly about the strain: her brand has been in “serious trouble” and at times “millions of pounds in the red.”
She also reflected on relying on David during the hardest moments: “I’m going home to my husband, but I’m going home to my business partner as well… I absolutely hated it.”
David added, “Victoria is a proud woman… I didn’t have the money to keep doing this.”
With Rothschild & Co now reportedly overseeing the sales process, the insider says David believes “maybe it’s time to let go,” even as he continues to support her.
Amid the financial pressure, Beckham has also softened her stance on a Spice Girls reunion, calling the idea “tempting” — a move insiders say could provide both emotional and financial stability.
