Princess Kate is seemingly 'hurt' as she had to make last-minute adjustments to her special Christmas Carol Service for this year.

News is in that show stealer and Emmy-winning performer Hannah Waddingham has backed out from singing at the party as her vocal cords need rest after an intense film shoot, as per doctor's recommendations.

This left Kate Middleton with no choice but to politely let the actress bow out of her celebratory event.

Despite maintaining her usual grace, royal experts still suggest that she must have felt "hurt" as attendees eagerly looked forward to catching  Waddingham give a good time at the show.

She will still grace the event with her presence tonight, just not with her trademark high notes.

Instead, singer Zak Abel has stepped in to perform Silent Night, ensuring the concert’s fifth consecutive year remains as magical as ever.

Guests at tonight’s carol concert will be greeted not just with festive cheer, but with a heartfelt musical nod to the late Duchess of Kent.

Young performers from Future Talent co-founded to support musically gifted children from low-income backgrounds will serenade arrivals at the Abbey as a specially formed brass ensemble of eight musicians aged 13 to 18.

Royal Correspondent, Danielle Stacey, calls the gesture a particularly touching one from Princess Kate.

“The Waleses and the Kents share so many interests from music to tennis so it’s incredibly meaningful that the Princess of Wales chose to honour the Duchess in this way,” she explains.
