Princess Anne has continued to uphold her reputation as the most loyal and hardest working as she performed an important role entrusted to her on behalf of the monarch.
The royal family has been dealing with the onslaught of bad press and controversies following the humiliating reports about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
After the shamed royal’s ‘peppercorn’ rent on Royal Lodge emerged, other senior members of the royal family also came under scrutiny.
Buckingham Palace released a statement or congratulations after distinguished Britons received honours from King Charles’s sister.
“Congratulations to everyone who received honours at this week’s Investiture ceremonies, hosted by The Princess Royal at St James’s Palace,” the message read.
It noted that The Reservicing Programme at Buckingham Palace had led for “a number of ceremonies are being held at St James’s for the first time since the pandemic”.
Apart from the King, there are only two members of the royal family who can perform the investiture ceremonies: Prince William and Princess Anne.
The update comes after the parliament launched a new investigation on all properties enlisted under the Crown estate. Although, Princess Anne has been spared from the probe since she lives on the privately-owned property at Gatcombe Park.
The probe will ensure that the taxpayers’ interests are protected.
