Matt Damon has taken the opportunity to utilize the big premiere night of his new film The Rip to protest the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer (ICE).
A few days back, a 37-year-old woman named Renee Nicole Good was shot dead by an off-duty ICE agent in Minneapolis.
A handful of celebrities have come forward to launch a protest against the evil killing of the innocent lady by putting on pins that read, “Be Good” and “Ice Out”.
Mark Ruffalo wore one at the 2026 Golden Globes and now Matt has also expressed his concerns over the worsening situation of the cities and street of the USA.
While speaking with USA Today at The Rip premiere, the Jason Bourne actor stated, "I think like millions of people around the country, we're really concerned with what's going on.”
Damon highlighted how much there is a need to spread awareness of what’s happening around.
He continued, "And I think it's about raising awareness about what's happening in our cities and on our streets and hopefully will promote a larger discussion about this."
Matt’s statement came after Mark slammed President Donald Trump for his rhetoric policies at the Golden Globes.
Meanwhile, The Rip featuring Damon with best pal Ben Affleck is set to release on January 16.
