Charleston White set the record straight after social media erupted with claims that he had been shot multiple times in Texas.
On Tuesday posts began circulating on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook alleging the comedian and YouTuber was “in critical condition after being shot 3x in Texas.”
The unverified story spread widely within hours with some users even falsely announcing White had died.
White quickly addressed the speculation in a livestream and dismissed the reports outrightly.
“Someone said I got shot in Ft. Worth, I don’t even live in Ft. Worth. I stay in Miami,” he told viewers making it clear the rumours were baseless.
Further evidence contradicted the claims.
White had posted a video earlier that same day from Miami appearing healthy and relaxed and with no signs of injury.
His manager also confirmed to rapper Nikeboy Zeke that the reports were false.
Zeke shared a screenshot of his conversation with White’s manager who revealed White hadn’t been in Texas for nearly a week.
White, born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1977, is known for his sharp commentary, comedic delivery and unfiltered take on hip‑hop culture and social issues.
Through platforms like YouTube and Instagram, White built a following by mixing humor with blunt social commentary.
White also co‑founded Helping Young People Excel (HYPE) which is a youth outreach program designed to mentor at‑risk youth.
