Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who once enjoyed the many privileges of his royal life even after stepping back from royal duties, does not seem thrilled for his upcoming 66th birthday on February 19.
The former Duke of York, who has been removed from the royal fold in King Charles’s landmark decision, is no longer a prince and was previously reported to vacate the 30-room Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge, before Easter.
Although, it seems that Andrew will be getting an early surprise for his birthday as preparations for his new home pick up speed. The disgraced royal is reported to move into Marsh Farm, a small cottage, two miles west of Sandringham House.
The place had been in a run-down position and had needed repairs to make it liveable. The Sun sources reported that while the work is under progress, Andrew will be moved into a temporary home.
“The snow or rain hasn’t delayed the work on Marsh Farm but it still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable,” a source told the outlet. “But one thing for sure is that it is a lot, lot smaller and less luxurious than Royal Lodge.”
Meanwhile, Andrew is trying to come to terms with his fate as he has “finally decided he needs to get on with his life”. A friend of the shamed ex-royal said that Andrew now believes that “moving out sooner than thought and starting afresh by the end of the month, or at least before his birthday in February”.
Now that Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson would be going their separate ways after two decades, it seems Andrew’s gift for 66th birthday will be “isolation”.
Andrew was ousted from the royal fold following his connection to Jeffery Epstein and the harrowing allegations against him, overshadowing the work of the royal members.
