Bettijo B. Hirschi, Todd Brides part ways three years after marriage

Todd Bridges has announced that he and his wife Bettijo B. Hirschi are separating after three years of marriage.

In a heartfelt statement shared with PEOPLE, the 60-year-old said,

“After much prayer and reflection, my spouse and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This was not an easy choice, and it comes with a heavy heart, but also with love and gratitude for the life we shared.”

Bridges expressed appreciation for their time together, adding,

“I thank God for the time we’ve had together, the lessons we’ve learned, and the family we’ve built. Even in this season of change, I trust He is guiding us both toward healing, peace, and new beginnings.”

The couple first met in January 2022 when Hirschi’s friend created a dating profile for her.

Six months later, the famed Willis Jackson from classic sitcom Diff’rent Strokes proposed.

By September of that year, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.

He was previously married to Dori Bridges from 1998 to 2012.

He shares two adult children, Spencir and Bo with Bridges.

Hirschi entered the marriage with four children of her own.

Bridges asked for privacy as they navigate the transition while also wishing Hirschi joy and fulfillment in the future.
