Adnan Sami Khan requests to become an Indian citizen

NEW DELHI: Adnan Sami Khan is going to become an Indian citizen, according to media reports.

Khan who has been living in India for over a decade was granted leave to stay indefinitely after he did not renew his Pakistani passport.

According to media reports, Adnan Sami Khan has sought Indian citizenship having renounced his Pakistani citizenship.

Reports claim, the attorney general of India and the Union home ministry is reviewing whether to grant Khan citizenship by naturalization in lieu of his “distinguished service to the cause of art” according to one news outlet.
