Afridi says will recover from injury to play next game

DHAKA: Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi says he will recover soon from his injury to play in the final against Sri Lanka.

Talking to media, he said that his injury was not of a serious nature.

“I no longer need a batting coach after playing for a long period. However, I need to be supported by the team management and my fans”, the former captain said.

“I showed performance whenever the team needed,” he said and added that he had been focusing more on his bowling.

He further said that the innings he played against India and Bangladesh could not be expected in normal conditions since he came to bat in pressure.

He said always that side wins the match in a Pakistan-India clash which can take pressure.
