Movie review: Na Maloom Afraad 2

After hearing that Na Maloom Afraad’s sequel is coming out, it seemed for sure that the viewers will be in for a great time. The film, which is the third project by Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza, is as unique as its predecessor. What’s actually unique about NMA 2 is that it has a better grip on the storyline than the duo’s earlier two productions.

As someone who has first-hand witnessed the amount of hard work that went into the film, the movie was far from disappointing on the screen as well.

From minor hiccups to ensuring that the ‘floating poop inside commode (which was of course made from synthetic material)’ does not disgust the audience, the cast and crew worked with due diligence and dedication.

Overall, the movie is a genuinely relatable tale and I would personally recommend people from all stages of life, especially teenagers, to go and watch the movie — my two cents, you definitely won’t regret it!

NMA 2 this time around too had the same stellar cast, including, Javed Sheikh, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Fahad Mustafa and Urwa Hocaine; with a lovely new face, Hania Aamir.

Although it is a great motion picture, its storyline was not at par with the original (then again, when is it ever?). But where the storyline fell behind, the comedy took the prize depicting a marked improvement in Nabeel Qureshi's work.

Being on the sets and working with the cast was a memorable experience which made me learn something — even in success, stay humble. The cast members are a great example of how it is to be successful, especially Mohsin Abbas Haider.

All in all, this movie comprises a stellar cast and has one of the best direction and production crews in Pakistan. Not only that, it is a must watch film for all Pakistani movie lovers and also those who love comedy features.
