Reality TV star Jess Wright has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late grandfather Eddie, expressing her grief over his passing at 92.
For the unversed, a spokesperson of Jess’s brother Mark confirmed that Eddie died “peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.”
Now taking to her Instagram, the 39-year-old shared some photographs of her late grandfather and revealed that her “heart has been broken all over again” following his departure from life.
Among several other photos of her childhood, she posted a picture of Eddie walking her down the aisle on her wedding day.
The Only Way Is Essex alum also scribbled a lengthy caption that read, “If only I could cuddle you and feel you cuddle me back so tight again. Losing you grandad has broken my heart all over again.”
“From the day I met you, there was no doubt you would be my best friend. If you look up the words 'legend' & 'hero' in the dictionary, it would say Grandad Eddie & everyone knew it which makes me immensely proud, they simply do not make them like you anymore & that's a fact.”
“Your kindness, generosity, caring ways with your beautiful smile & undeniable love for your family will live with on forever. You set the tone for men all over,” she added.
“Thank you for giving me away in our English ceremony; that really did mean the world to me. Thank you for being you. Thank you for allowing me to live with you when I was a little girl & without fail, letting me sit on your lap every single night watching reruns of Only Fools & Horses over & over again,” Jess wrote, showing gratitude to her late grandfather.
Notably, Eddie served as a former champion boxer and paramedic and in June last year, he was admitted to the hospital after a fall.
On the professional front, he had been in the public eye with the Wright family over the years and appeared with his grandson Mark on the BBC show Who Do You Think You Are? in 2019.
