Bad Bunny has high regard for Adam Sandler.
The singer-actor, 30, got candid about his upcoming comedy Happy Gilmore 2 with Rolling Stone on Monday where the conversation turned to his experience working with Sandler, 58.
"Pshhh. That’s my uncle. Adam Sandler is my uncle," the Monaco singer replied when asked if he vibed with the Billy Madison star.
Bad Bunny then showed the reporter his text message inbox which showed Sandler's contact saved as "Tío Sandler."
"He’s Tío Sandler. He’s super nice," he told the publication. It was announced in September that Bad Bunny would be joining the sequel to the 1996 comedy, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Bad Bunny, who recently released his new album Debí Tirar Más Fotos on January 5, filmed Caught Stealing and Happy Gilmore 2 back-to-back.
At another point during the interview, Bad Bunny—who also starred in 2022's Bullet Train—shared his aspirations for pursuing acting alongside singing. "I’d do it," he said.
"I’m always going to make music, but I’d spend some time just making films and dedicating myself to acting.
"I think the way I worked it out, when those two movies get released — when people see them, they’ll say, 'Wow, this guy is really acting.' Because it’s two different movies, two different parts, two different people."
Happy Gilmore 2 is slated to premiere in 2025 on Netflix.
