Liam Payne's close ones recently raised astounding money for a children's cancer charity following the singer’s death.
According to Daily Mail, the One Direction star's family and friends raised an £31,303 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
A source told The Sun, “The money will go towards building a new children's cancer unit at the hospital in London.”
“Everyone is still coming to terms with the tragic loss of Liam,” the source said, adding, “But there is some comfort in knowing the legacy he leaves behind.”
“Everyone dug deep at the service and the amount raised is staggering — it will help change lives,” they claimed.
The insider further said, “Aside from his love of music, Liam was passionate about helping others, especially children, due to his love of being a father to little Bear.”
The One Direction star’s funeral took place in November 2024 at a village church in Amersham, Bucks.
Liam Payne, who struggled with substance abuse and mental illness throughout his career died on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
