Erika Jayne, best known for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has made a triumphant return to Broadway, reprising her role as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago.

The 53-year-old star first played the iconic character in 2020, but her performances were cut short due to the pandemic.

Her three-week run, which began on January 20 and continues through February 9, was announced in December with a joint Instagram post by Jayne and the official Chicago The Musical account, urging fans to grab their tickets.

Following her opening-night performance, Jayne expressed gratitude to her 2.6 million Instagram followers, writing, “Thank you to everyone that came to the show tonight!” alongside a red heart emoji.

While reflecting on her return, Jayne described the experience as “coming home” and shared that the role holds a special place in her heart.

In preparation, she released a promotional video performing Chicago’s signature tune, Roxie, teasing fans with her polished rendition.

In an interview with Playbill, she shared her excitement about revisiting the character, saying, “I’m diving deeper into the nuances I missed the first time.”

She humorously added, “I’ve even been thinking about the placement of my hands for five years.”

According to Daily Mail, the performance came amid personal upheaval for Jayne, whose ex-husband, Tom Girardi, was recently convicted of stealing $15 million from his clients.

Moreover, Jayne wittily acknowledged the parallels between her personal experiences and Roxie Hart’s tumultuous legal battles, saying, “Let’s just say there might be some similarities.”
