Since Avengers: Endgame, Marvel has struggled to maintain its box-office hit streak.

Several franchise performances were duds, sparking concerns whether the studio is facing ‘superhero fatigue.’

Now, Disney’s CEO Bob Iger has admitted that the franchise's failure was due to a preference for quantity over quality.

“We’ve learned over time that quantity does not necessarily beget quality,” he said during the investor’s call.

“Frankly, we’ve all admitted to ourselves that we lost a little focus by making too much. By consolidating a bit and having Marvel focus much more on their films, we believe it will result in better quality. I think the first and best example of that is ‘Thunderbolts*’”, Bob added.

Earlier, Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo teasing a gathering of old Marvel guards while watching the screening of Thunderbolts*.

Ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, Robert Downey Jr. has taken to social media to share how the old team is assembling.

It included Thor’s Chris Hemsworth, Ant-Man’s Paul Rudd, Captain America’s Anthony Mackie, Shang-Chi’s Simu Liu, and Black Panther’s Winston Duke.

Along with them, Fantastic Four stars Vanessa Kirby, Ebon-Moss Bachrach, and X-Men star Channing Tatum were also present.

“Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep. Big congrats to the New Avengers (and Bob). #Thunderbolts,” RDJ captioned.
