Justin Bieber is facing backlash from fans for sharing he once told his wife Hailey Bieber during an argument that she would never get a chance to appear on a Vogue cover.

The 31-year-old singer triggered mixed reactions on social media with his recent post in which he congratulated his wife as she graced the outlet's cover.

In the celebratory post, Justin shared insights into one of their past alteration which left Hailey's fans split, calling the information from their personal life "so unnecessary."

"Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight, I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean, For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even," Justin wrote in the caption.

"So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken," he concluded.

Many saw this post as gratuitous, calling out Justin for it as a backhanded compliment.

"Why would you write something like that... put that phone down please," one wrote

Another expressed dissatisfaction, writing, "You couldn’t waterboard this information out of me lmao."
