Prince William backs new social enterprise in Scotland visit

Prince William on Wednesday visited Leith Community Centre, a space going through a big transformation, said a statement issued by the royal family as the Prince of Wales arrived in Scotland as part of his royal duties.

The statement said, "Proud to mark the launch of Leith United, a new social enterprise bringing together Street Soccer Scotland, YMCA Edinburgh and the Leith Community Centre Association to deliver health, wellbeing and social connection for thousands of residents."

It added, "Through the Royal Foundation’s Community Impact Programme, support has been provided to protect this vital local hub from closure and to turn it into a sustainable centre for opportunity and belonging."

Multiple photos of the prince's visit to the community centre were also shared on the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Earlier, a clip of the future king landing at the Edinburgh airport was shared to Instagram stories.

In the video, the eldest  son of King Charles was seen disembarking the plan without his wife, Kate Middleton.

The Prince of Wales looked dapper in one of the photos shared on Instagram upon his arrival at the community centre.
