Jennifer Lawrence gives shocking reaction to Dakota Johnson's surprise

Dakota Johnson made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Speaking with Vogue, Dakota revealed that she made sure to surprise her friend Jennifer Lawrence when she arrived at Cannes for her upcoming film Splitsville.

The actress said, “The first thing I did when I got to Cannes on Saturday.”

“I went and surprised Jennifer Lawrence at her after-party for her movie,” she added.

It is worth mentioning that Jennifer was already at the Cannes as she received a standing ovation for her film Die, My Love.

However, Dakota shared Jennifer’s hilarious reaction to her surprise. The actress said, “She was like, 'Stop following me!'”

The Fifty Shades of Grey star also spoke about making debut at the Cannes with her film Splitsville, saying, “It's fun to have a movie here that I produced. It would suck if people didn't like it, but that happens and you move on quickly.”

Dakota Johnson’s Splitsville is scheduled to release on August 22, 2025.
