Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughter Princess Eugenie has officially confirmed her new role for King Charles foundation.

Eugenie, King Charles niece, has become a mentor for The King’s Foundation charity's new 35 under 35 network of changemakers.

Taking to Instagram, Princess Eugenie and the King’s Foundation shared a video where the Princess spoke of her delight after being handed the key new role with a cause close to the monarch’s heart.

In the video, Princess Eugenie said, “It is such a great thing to honour His Majesty’s celebration of traditional Art, nature and sustainability.

“And I am proud to be here,” Eugenie went on saying in the video.

The post reads, “Announcing Princess Eugenie as a mentor for our King’s Foundation 35 under 35.

“Princess Eugenie met some of our 35 under 35 - Tihara, Sauda, Barney, Marie, Rosa, Jo and Mariam - at the Garrison Chapel last week, where we’re currently hosting our 35th anniversary exhibition.”

It added, “The Princess will join @sophieteaart, @history_alice and @design.by.samuelross as mentors for the 35 under 35 network.”

“Thank you, HRH, for spending time with our 35 under 35!”

Earlier, Eugenie said: "I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about.

"Given I recently celebrated my 35th birthday, it’s fitting to take part in the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and share my passion for art with the 35 under 35.”

She also praised the selection of young creatives for their “outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about".
