Kylie Minogue talks about career moves

Kylie Minogue just toasted to her successful music career.

The pop star has had quite a year with her sold-out residency at The Venetian’s new Voltaire club in Las Vegas, her track, Padam Padam going viral and the Grammy win that followed and then her latest addition to Time magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2024 list.

On top of that her best-selling wine has just topped 20 million bottles sold and to celebrate, as per Grazia, she is releasing a limited edition Cotes de Provence Rosé.

“Of course, there have been waves of things happening for the first time throughout my career, but it feels like it is from a different ‘camera angle’ now,” Kylie said, reflecting on her success.

She added, “On the one hand, it doesn’t change anything and, on the other, it changes a lot. It’s hard for me to unpack, let’s put it that way. But there has definitely been a part of me that has tried to relax into it and appreciate the recognition.”

Additionally, she also talked about the success of her song, Padam Padam, where fans from all over the world made the dance moves from the song viral on TikTok, ultimately leading to it winning the Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording.

Talking about how the track has taken a life of its own, Kylie stated Padam Padam can be taken “as a noun, a verb, an adjective, even used as a greeting or farewell.”

“It’s so joyful. It feels like it’s not my song any more. When I’m singing along, it’s like it’s everyone’s,” she concluded.
