Russell Brand just pleaded not guilty.
On Friday, the 49-year-old comic, who was charged with five sexual offences, appeared at Southwark Crown Court.
He has completely denied all claims which included one allegation of rape, one allegation of indecent assault, one of oral rape and two of sexual assault.
In the assault allegation, the actor has been accused of grabbing a woman by her arm and dragging her in 2001.
One sexual assault charge against him is due to the claim that he touched a woman indecently without her consent back in 2004-2005 while the other sexual assault allegation comes from woman who claimed he touched her breasts without consent in 2004.
Now, Judge Tony Baumgartner has scheduled a trial date for Brand, on June 3, 2026 and if he fails to attend, it would result in him facing further charges.
As he left the court, the Despicable Me talent issued no official statement regarding the matter and made a exit from the venue after hopping into his vehicle.
The police previously interviewed Brand when allegations against became public in around 2023 and have now written to inform him that he was being charged with rape, indecent assault and sexual assault.
However, previously, Russell Brand has denied any "non-consensual activity,” saying in his video posted on X, formerly Twitter, "What I never was, was a rapist. I've never engaged in non-consensual activity."
