Kate Middleton is reportedly undergoing training to become the next Queen as King Charles health suffers amid cancer diagnosis.
According to an insider, the Princess of Wales wears a crown and has been receiving private training on what it means to be queen.
This comes as King continues cancer treatment and his son, Prince William, faces growing pressure to learn to take over the monarchy sooner than expected.
Sharing insights into the matter, an insider told Radar Online, "Kate wore a crown and has been taking lessons in what it means to be queen ahead of King Charles' death, and was crowned in a hush-hush ceremony to prepare her for what's coming."
Kate has recently increased her public appearances, including a solo event on May 13 where she presented a fashion award in London.
She wore a green Victoria Beckham designed dress and was warmly received with sources saying Kate’s strength and calm presence have made her a key figure in the royal family during uncertain times.
William's wife “has always followed the rules and managed to avoid the pitfalls that plagued other royal women, like the late Princess Diana, especially when dealing with the media," the insider said.
They added, "She feels it's her duty to step up and protect the crown."
Despite struggling with cancer and confessing himself that his diagnosis has been "a daunting and at times frightening experience,” Charles has not stopped doing his duties.
"William and Kate are worried perhaps he’s taking on too much and could be jeopardizing his health," they said.
As for his wife, Queen Camilla, the source revealed that she is “distracted by his illness and overwhelmed by the thought of losing him."
