Meghan Markle has released a statement on social media after fresh reports that Prince Harry approached his uncle Charles Spencer for changing his surname to Spencer.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Prince Harry actively explored ways to assume his mother Princess Diana’s surname – a move that would have involved ditching Mountbatten-Windsor, used by his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The outlet, quoted Prince Harry’s friend as saying, “They had a very amicable conversation and Spencer advised him against taking such a step.”

Amid these claims, Meghan took to Instagram and released a statement to announce about the bonus episode of her podcast.

She said, “New bonus episode of #COAFF is live.”

Meghan continued, “I sat down with the wonderful Tina Knowles to discuss her brand new memoir, Matriarch, and what it means to lead with heart, and care for others, while also learning to make space for yourself.”
