Meghan Markle has brought on special guest Tina Knowles on her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, sat down with Tina, mother to Beyoncé and Solange Knowles, for the interview released on June, 3.
"You’ve worked with the girls for years, but this is a different type of endeavor," Meghan said to the matriarch.
Tine said it’s "the best” and then shared tips on how to work through disagreements in a family.
Meghan then asked her for tips for people considering going into business with their kids or parents.
"There are difficulties sometimes because if you’re dealing with your child or you’re dealing with your mother, you know, you have disagreements," Tina acknowledged.
Tina shared that in a disagreement with her kids, she always gives in.
"I’m the one that always caves. I’ve been like that since I was young. If my kids are mad at me, I can’t take it. I’ll apologize," she shared.
This comes after Meghan first teased the episode on May 29, noting that she recorded an extra episode for a special guest.
"We had just wrapped Confessions of a Female Founder and packed up the mics — until a call came in that we couldn’t ignore. On the line was one of the most influential and inspiring matriarchs in culture today. Naturally, we hit record," Lemonada Media, which produces the podcast, wrote in an Instagram post.
In the promo, Meghan could be heard saying, "Next week, we've got one more very special interview for you. A bonus episode. Because when a matriarch calls, and when this matriarch calls, oh, you answer."
Tina’s voice was also featured in the promo. She said she “fights so hard" for her family, adding, "I tell them every day, since they were little girls, 'You belong anywhere you choose to be.' "
Meghan Markle launched her podcast in March and the first season included a slew of female founders like Whitney Wolfe Herd of Bumble, Reshma Saujani of Girls Who Code and Moms First, Kadi Lee of Highbrow Hippie, Jamie Kern Lima of IT Cosmetics and The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Hannah Mendoza of Clevr Blends, Heather Hasson of FIGS and Cassandra Morales Thurswell of Kitsch.
