King Charles marked a major visit to the Royal Regiment of Artillery on Friday.

The monarch of the United Kingdom donned military uniform as he met military personnel from the 21 regiments that form the Royal Regiment.

It is worth mentioning that this visit marked Charles' first visit as General captain.

The official Instagram handle of the royal family shared a carousel of photos from King Charles’ visit.

During his visit, Charles was also presented with an engraved 105mm Cartridge which was fired during his and Camilla’s coronation ceremony.

The caption read, “The King has visited the Royal Regiment of Artillery in Larkhill, meeting military personnel and their families from the 21 regiments that form the Royal Regiment.”

Notably, King Charles also made an honour of firing a L118 Light Gun himself.

“His Majesty also heard about the Regiment’s training and equipment - before being invited to fire a L118 Light Gun himself!” the statement further read.

“To commemorate His Majesty’s first visit as Captain General, The King was presented with an engraved 105mm Cartridge which was fired during Their Majesties’ Coronation,” it concluded.
