A royal expert claimed that Meghan Markle focusing on her business and making money is in everybody’s “interest” as it can help Prince Harry focus on his “philanthropy” work.

The Duchess and Duke of Sussex left the royal family in 2020 but still seem to be using their royal connections.

Recently, on her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, she said she is now “Meghan Sussex” and not Meghan Markle while speaking with her friend and guest, Mindy Kaling.

Later on, Meghan appeared for a candid interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show when host Jamie Kern Lima flaunted the gift basket she got from the Duchess.

The gift containing homemade strawberry sauce and ice cream had a card which was signed “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”

Speaking on the matter, royal expert Charles Rae accused Meghan of using her connections with the royal family for profit.

"I've got no objections to Meghan and Harry making money," he told The Sun. "None whatsoever. However they want to operate now is fine.”

He continued, "It's their royal connections that really irritate me. And they're piggybacking off of that a great deal.

"But I think Meghan is the one who's driving everything. And I think she will eventually come a cropper with all this.

"I mean, she says, 'I don't want to annoy the public'. Well, why not?

"She's annoyed everybody else. You know, I mean, you know, she's. she's a very annoying person in my view."

To this, royal expert Sarah Hewson said, "I think it is in everyone's interest if she is able to make a success of this and make money off the back of this, because we know they've got a very expensive lifestyle, not least the security costs.”

She added, "And Prince Harry just having lost that court of appeal case, it is in everyone's interest, the Royal Family included, if they are able to be self-sufficient, if they're able to build a life, Prince Harry can do his philanthropy.

"Meghan can launch the business. I mean, I think that suits everybody."
