Chris Evans recently reacted to his absence from the upcoming Marvel movie, Doomsday.
In a new chat with ScreenRant, the acting sensation talked about the highly anticipated flick which will feature many of his former Avengers castmates.
He admitted he felt sad "not to be back with the band" for a new Avengers movie.
"I mean, it's sad to be away. It's sad to not be back with the band, but I'm sure they're doing something incredible," he added.
The acting sensation went on to address, "And I'm sure it's going to be that much harder when it comes out, and you feel like you weren't invited to the party."
As fans will be aware, Chris has embodied the iconic superhero Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, across three standalone films and four Avengers installments.
However, he officially departed the franchise in 2019's Avengers: Endgame, in which he notably passed the mantle of Captain America to Anthony Mackie's character, Sam Wilson.
While Evans has stepped away from his superhero role, several of his Avengers co-stars are confirmed to be returning for Doomsday, which is currently in production.
This includes familiar faces like Robert Downey Jr., known for playing the Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth, playing the role of Thor, Sebastian Stan, reprising the character of Winter Soldier, and Paul Rudd, playing Ant-Man.
