Prince Harry’s ‘Spare’ to soon have competition if Meghan decides to write

Meghan Markle has been told that the sales of her book may crush her husband Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare if she decides to pen it.

According to betting experts, the Duke of Sussex’s book will have serious competition if Meghan decides to pen her autobiography.

Chavdar Vasilev, of Casino Beats, said, "If Meghan Markle does decide to put pen to paper, the public interest in her story would be enormous – and the odds reflect that. Should Markle publish a memoir, it’s heavily backed at 1/5 to outsell Prince Harry’s ‘Spare.’”

She added, per The Express, "While 2026 is the current favourite year for a release at 6/4, punters clearly believe it’s a matter of when, not if, Meghan’s memoir hits the shelves.”

"It’s 4/1 that it’ll be released in 2027 and a longer 6/1 for 2028 or later. Being already halfway through the year, a 2025 release is a longer shot at 8/1."

During an appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, the Duchess of Sussex spoke of writing a book.

She was asked by the host and her pal Jamie Kern Lima is she has plans of writing a book. "You're a New York Times bestselling author. Would you ever write another book?"

To this, Meghan said, "Yes, maybe, for sure. I love, right now, working on everything in the space of hospitality and home and entertaining and food and those sort of tips.

"Something like that, I think, could be really fun,” Meghan added. “Of course, children's books are great.

“And then I think people are often curious if I'm going to write a memoir, but I've got a lot more life to live before I'm there."
