Patrick Schwarzenegger, known for his roles in The White Lotus and Gen V, had never sought career advice from his megastar father, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The Terminator star shared this in an interview with ExtraTV when the host asked whether he had ever given his son any advice on how to move forward in Hollywood.
"No. Um. I he never asked me for advice," the actor said. "I think that uh he his interest is to do it his way, which is exactly what I did. Uh. When I started, you know, I felt like I had have to do it my way."
He continued, "Everyone has a different way of going about the acting career. How to build the career, you know, who they have as agents, who they have as managers, as publicists, how to build this whole thing and uh how to get the jobs and how to do the reading and all of that stuff."
"Everyone has a different approach on any of that. And so I had mine and so here's his and uh that was what made the variety interesting kind of a discussion between me and my son is because it was like really about me. Talking about," the former of California said.
"This is the way it was 50 years ago when I started and this is the way it is for you now and what are the differences and approaches and all that," the 77-year-old said.
Arnold's remarks come as he promotes season two of Fuber with his co-star, Carrie-Anne Moss.
