Tom Hanks is reportedly returning to the stage with his upcoming, off-Broadway play, This World of Tomorrow with envy for George Clooney in his heart.

As fans will be aware, the husband of Amal Clooney made his Broadway debut on March 12, 2025, in the play Good Night, and Good Luck. The play is an adaptation of the 2005 film of the same name, which Clooney also directed and co-wrote.

He played the role of Edward R. Murrow, the veteran journalist, in the play.

While his wife and pals are proud of the acting sensation, Tom Hanks is reportedly growing jealous of George Clooney, as per the latest report of RadarOnline.com.

Spilling more beans on the secret Hollywood rivalry, the insider mentioned, "Tom has seen how successful George's Broadway production of Good Night, and Good Luck has been and he wants a slice of the same cash and respect he's got from launching the show.”

"He also wants to outdo George by landing himself a Tony award," claimed the insider.

"This really is a battle of the A-listers on Broadway, and it comes down to Tom's jealousy over George getting there first and making his debut far bigger than his one in theater was 12 years ago," the insider remarked.
