Meghan Markle has shared that how much she wishes that honesty had shaped how her story has been told.

The Duchess of Sussex also talked on how her image has changed dramatically from her acting days to marrying into the royal family.

Speaking on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, Prince Harry’s wife reflected on how her life has unfolded in the public eye, especially after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

Meghan was asked if she would change anything about her journey with Grede saying, "I wanted to ask you a little bit about the public narrative, because when you sign up to be an actress, you know that people are going to start recognizing you, they're going to start speaking to you on the street."

"But that's very different from what you have now," Grede added.

To this, Meghan responded, "It is, Emma! It's very different."

Grede went on to add, “I want to say this to you in the best way, because I wonder: If you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything that you would do differently?”

"Yes. I would ask people to tell the truth," said the Duchess.

Meghan's interview comes as she receives heated criticism from social media users for sharing family photos on her Instagram account which features her kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Critics have raised questions about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's stance on privacy, pointing out that Harry and Meghan have often voiced concerns about media intrusion into their personal lives.
