Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has skipped the luncheon party hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle.
However, according to Buckingham Palace, the party was attended by Prince William, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, Princess Anne and others.
The palace says in a statement, “The King and Queen gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.”
The service was held in St. George's Chapel on Monday afternoon.
Detachments of King Charles Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and the Military Knights of Windsor were on duty.
The palace did not disclose the reason why Kate skipped the party.
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales and other members of the royal family joined King Charles and Queen Camilla at St George’s Chapel in Windsor for the annual Garter Day service and procession.
Before this, Kate Middleton, Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attended another brilliant day at Trooping the Colour for King Charles Birthday Parade.
“Thank you to everybody who came, and to all those who took part,” Kensington Palace shared photo of the Wales family with meaningful statement.
