Amy Poehler just admitted that she has appeared in some rather “inappropriate’ sketches on Saturday Night Live or SNL.

The 53-year-old comedian and actress starred in the comic show between 2001 and 2008, has acknowledged that some of her gigs don’t sit well with her anymore.

During a candid conversation on the Good Hang podcast, Will Forte, who was Amy's former co-star, explained: "There are so many things I look back now and I go — you think, 'Oh, it's all about getting a laugh.'"

To this, the Inside Out talent agreed and added, "Agree. The part about getting older and being in comedy, is you have to figure out everything has an expiration date."

Additionally, Amy also confessed she made a lot of mistakes during her time on Saturday Night Live, being reminded of her errors during the 50th anniversary episode of the TV show, which featured a "cancelled and tasteless jokes" segment.

The 53-year-old said: "They had that segment, which was like, 'Here's all the ways we got things wrong.' And they showed way inappropriate casting for people. We all played people that we should not have played.

"I misappropriated. I appropriated. I didn't know. I did know. It's very real, and the best thing you can do is make repair, learn from your mistakes, do better — it's all you can do,” Amy Poehler concluded.
