Kate Middleton, who hardly accompanies her husband Prince William during royal duties these days, on Wednesday made a rare appearance at a medical facility, some 110 kilometers from London.
The Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a few pictures of the royal being briefed about the plants at the Colchester Hospital garden.
A brief statement that accompanied her pictures said that as many as 50 Catherine's Roses, the flower named her, were donated to the hospital to support wellbeing at Colchester Hospital.
It said 500 such flowers will be shared across hospital, hospices and community gardens across the UK.
According to the local media, the wife of Prince William also visited the cancer ward of the hospital where she talked to the patients and spoke about the disease with which she's been battling since last year.
One of her photos captioned "A garden made for healing, showed Princess Catherine looking at the plants as a man briefed her.
Months after completing her chemotherapy, the mother of three revealed late last year that she was in remission from cancer.
Her cancer diagnoses had come as a major setback to the British royal family because King Charles was already under treatment for an unspecified form of cancer when the bad news about his daughter-in-law was shared.
