Meghan Markle won hearts after she apologized and issued refunds for its newly launched apricot spread under the label of her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
After being unable to fulfill some orders due to high demand, the Duchess of Sussex not only issued an apology but also promised to send free spread once it's back in stock.
The spread was quickly sold out following its June release, but some customers later received emails explaining that their orders couldn’t be completed.
“Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfil your order of the apricot spread at this time. We are refunding the purchase of this item by the end of this week,” the email read, per New Idea Magazine.
It added, “In addition to the refund, we want you to know that when the apricot spread is back in stock, you will be the first to receive it, free of charge.”
Praising Meghan over her exceptional customer service, a customer penned on Reddit that they were “impressed” with the brand.
“This happened to me with the honey during the first drop,” they penned, per the publication.
The customer further added, “While I would have loved to have had the honey, I was so impressed with the customer service that they were willing to refund my money and keep track of who didn’t get the product, and then they sent me the honey this time free of charge.”
This comes as Meghan received backlash after her products quickly disappeared from online shelves just hours after they were launched.
Speaking with GB News, a guest told host Ben Leo that it seems like Meghan is only making 100 products.
“Nobody really knows why they sell out,” they said. “Is it because she made 100? Maybe she's buying them all. Is she calling her mum and getting her mum to buy them on mass?
