Kate Middleton pays touching tribute to Prince William on key visit

Kate Middleton paid a touching tribute to her husband Prince William as she kept his late mom Princess Diana close on a recent public visit.

The Princess of Wales opted for jewellery that held important meaning for the Prince of Wales as she made an emotional return to public duties on July 2.

Visiting cancer patients during a hospital visit, the mother-of-three wore her sapphire engagement ring, once belonging to Diana. 

The visit held importance for the Princess of Wales as she opened up about her life post cancer treatment.

She paired it with a Cartier Ballon Bleu watch gifted by William for their third wedding anniversary, and a necklace featuring her birthstone, garnet.

Speaking with GB News, jewellery expert Tobias Kormind said, "Poignantly dressed in the same blazer she wore for her first portrait post her 2024 diagnosis announcement, the Princess of Wales opted for sentimental pieces for her hospital visit."

He added, "She chose to wear her sapphire engagement ring, once belonging to Princess Diana, and complementing the ring was her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch - a third wedding anniversary gift from Prince William."

The expert further noted that "completing the ensemble was a delicate necklace, which featured her birthstone, a garnet, nestled at its centre."
