Prince William sceptical of Meghan Markle early in Harry's relationship

Prince William had doubts about Meghan Markle’s intentions from the very start of her relationship with Prince Harry, claimed a royal expert.

Citing Lady Elizabeth Anson, journalist Sally Bedell Smith revealed that the late Queen Elizabeth II also had concerns ahead Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding.

Now, in a recent report, royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun that William, the Prince of Wales had issues with Meghan very early on.

He claimed that William believed Meghan viewed her marriage to Harry as a step toward greater fame and fortune.

“I think, unfortunately, that confirms what I've been saying or thought for the last few years that, sadly, Meghan never really had any intention of staying in the Royal Family,” he said.

"She saw [it] as a stepping stone getting married to Harry... to new fame and fortune,” the expert added.

“And I think that's what initially Prince William was concerned about. And that's why they fell out. And now we are where we are."
