King Charles and Queen Camilla have welcomed the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron to Windsor for their state visit to the U.K.
As the King stepped out to welcome the Macrons, his bloodshot right eye came into public notice.
Soon after, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson explained that the red eye has been caused by a burst blood vessel in his right eye and appeared overnight. They noted that there’s no cause for worry, per Daily Express.
King and Queen welcomed the Macrons in Windsor and headed to the Windsor Castle via carriage.
At the palace, a salute will take place, after which the French and British national anthems will be played.
President Macron and King Charles will then inspect the Guard of Honour.
Following that, the royals and the Macrons will head inside the castle for a lunch, which will be followed by an exhibition of items that came from France to the U.K. and form a part of the Royal Collection.
Later in the day, President Macron and Brigitte will head back to London for engagements including laying a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey and visiting the Palace of Westminster.
Emmanuel Macron will also address the Parliamentarians in the Royal Gallery and meet Members of Parliament and Peers.
