Meghan Markle makes first statement as ailing father calls for support

Meghan Markle made her first appearance on social media after receiving disturbing news about her father, Thomas Markle's health.

On December 4, the former Suits actress made first statement after her half-brother urged the Duchess to show some 'compassion' towards their 81-year-old ailing dad.

However, to our surprise, Meghan is busy celebrating her holiday special release on Netflix. She released a video featuring behind-the-scenes footage of the newly premiered episode.

Archie and Lilibet's mother wrote, "A little behind the scenes of the holiday special for ‘With Love, Meghan’ on @netflix"

Fans have been disappointed by Meghan's lack of sympathy for her estranged father. However, it remains unclear whether the Duchess of Sussex has reached out to her family personally in times of need.

For the unversed, it was reported on December 3 that Thomas Markle rushed to the hospital and was in the intensive care unit.

His son, Thomas Jr, told Daily Mail, "My dad has undergone emergency surgery..." He made an emotional plea to Meghan to show "compassion" towards their old father, who is fighting for his life.

As per the recent update, Thomas Markle is in "stable" condition but still remains in intensive care in hospital.
