Princess Kate was delighted to meet a very special guest at her annual Christmas Carol service — a guest likely invited by Prince William.
Before the service began at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 5, the Princess of Wales greeted guests and came face-to-face with actor Eugene Levy, who interviewed William for an episode of The Reluctant Traveler. The October 3rd episode showed the future king opening up about his wife’s cancer battle, his parents’ divorce, and the kind of stability he hopes to create for his children, marking his most emotional and raw TV interviews to date.
According to a clip shared by the Daily Mail’s royal reporter Rebecca English, the Schitt’s Creek actor shook Kate’s hand and told her, “Lovely to meet you!”
“You know my husband very well,” noted Kate as Levy confirmed, “I spent a lovely day with your husband.”
“I hope he looked after you,” Kate quipped. Levy nodded, saying, “He did look after me, yes he did.”
When Levy asked if William enjoyed the day as much as he did, Kate nodded and could be faintly heard thanking Levy.
During their interview, Levy gently asked William, “This last year, your wife and father have been ill. How are things now first of all?”
The Prince of Wales replied, “Yes, things are good. Everything is progressing in the right way, which is all good news. But it’s been, I’d say 2024 was the hardest year that I’ve ever had. Trying to sort of balance protecting the children, Catherine, my father needs a bit of protection…”
He added, “Everyone has their own coping mechanisms for these sorts of things, and children are constantly learning and adapting. We try to give them the safety that they need.”
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were also seen arriving at the Together At Christmas service alongside their parents.
