Is Meghan Markle taking away Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's right to meet the ailing member of their family? Fans think so.

The Duchess of Sussex, who was busy promoting the newly released holiday special episode of her Netflix show and festive offers on As Ever, recently received shocking news about her father's life-threatening situation.

It has not been hidden from anyone that she is not on talking terms with Thomas Markle and any other close relative of her paternal side, but situations like a health crisis melt hearts.

It was revealed on Friday by Meghan's half-brother, Thomas Jr, that their father underwent emergency surgery after a blood clot in his thigh disturbed circulation.

The 81-year-old's lower left leg has been amputated to save his life. From the hospital bed in a critical condition, Thomas expressed a desire to talk to his daughter and grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

On December 6, it was reported that the Duchess of Sussex finally reached out to his dad after hearing his painful plea. But it turned out to be a rumour only.

As per Thomas' latest statement given to the Mail, there was no contact made by the Sussexes.

The old man, who is taking treatment in a hospital in Cebu, Philippines, once again publicly confessed that he is "open to reconciling with my daughter."

"I have never stopped loving her. I don't want to die estranged from Meghan. I want to meet my grandkids. It might be nice to meet her husband, too," he pleaded.

Archie and Lilibet, who are too young to make any decision, could accuse their mother in the future for keeping them away from their dying grandfather.

Several fans have also been sharing their disappointment over Meghan's 'resentment' of not fulfilling Thomas's last wish.
