Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has finally returned to X, ending a five-month social media hiatus.
Before any controversy could even take hold, the Heartless singer reappeared on the platform, formerly Twitter, on Monday, December 29, to set the record straight on a viral “bucket list.”
“This list is not real,” he wrote, directly debunking a viral to-do list that had been circulating online.
The list included 36 ambitious goals, such as learning to pole dance, swimming with sharks, climbing a volcano, and visiting destinations like Russia, Cambodia, the Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu, Brazil, Iceland, and Chile.
Earlier this year the 48-year-old rapper stirred controversial headlines due to his public antics with wife Bianca Censori, including the Grammy stunt and his infamous rants on X.
Given the track record, his no-nonsense return took many netizens by surprise.
Unlike many of his past social media appearances, this time the I Wonder hitmaker responded with a straightforward clarification rather than fueling any controversy.
His post came in response to a Complex Music article claiming the bucket list was his.
Notably, Ye didn’t address any other controversies, making this a rare instance of him simply detaching himself from the misinformation.
