Prince William and Prince Harry may have had unresolved issues from their childhood that blew into a full-blown feud between the once inseparable brothers, but it was the clash between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton that triggered a series of event.

While both daughters-in-law of the King Charles have publicly kept themselves away from the ongoing battle of the brothers, the Duchess of Sussex be eyeing to take a major step and it would have Princess Kate involved.

Amid the ongoing speculation about Meghan’s possible return to the UK for Harry’s Invictus Games, experts believe that the As Ever Founder is hoping to make a good impression on the Britons as they had welcomed Harry last September.

According to royal commentator Sarah Vine, Meghan would have a lot of opportunities for optics if she were to extend a truce to the royals and capture “eminently Instagrammable” moments.

The Sussexes could relive old memories close to Windsor, maybe a visit to Princess Diana’s grace at Althorp, and if the King allows, a glimpse into another ‘private tea’ this time including her and the children. However, the “real money shot” would be Meghan with the Princess of Wales “burying the hatchet”. But, Kate would have to agree to that first.

“I suspect Kate would rather boil her own head, but you never know,” the expert said. “She’s a trooper, and she always does what’s best for the family.”

However, a visit from Meghan depends on how the security decision pans out for Harry, who had written to the new UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood for a risk assessment.

The Waleses have kept themselves away from the Sussexes even when King Charles invited Harry at Clarence House in September last year. Hence, it is unlikely that Kate would entertain the idea, especially if William still holds strong feelings about his estranged brother.
