Apple has introduced a new subscription called Creator Studio, bundling together its most popular creative and productivity apps for iPhones, iPads and Macs under a single plan.
Creator Studio is designed to make professional-grade creative tools more accessible to Apple's wider audiences, from experienced professionals to students and first-time creators.
Creator Studio offers Apple’s top creative apps such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro. Mac-only tools under this subscription include Motion, Compressor and MainStage.
All of the creative tools you get inside the Creator Studio plan are massively used for video editing, music production, animation and creative imaging, and are typically paid for separately.
The subscription also offers Apple’s upgraded productivity apps. Keynote, Pages and Numbers will gain access to smarter features and premium content to improve visual output and workflow efficiency.
Set to be launched on 28 January, Creator Studio is priced at $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with a free one-month trial. Students and educators can subscribe at a discounted rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said the new bundle “enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills.”
He added that Creator Studio provides “easy access to the most powerful and intuitive tools for video editing, music making, creative imaging, and visual productivity,” enhanced by advanced intelligent features that “augment and accelerate workflows.”
The service, as described by Cue, is “the most flexible and accessible way to get started with such a powerful collection of creative apps,” supporting professionals, emerging artists, entrepreneurs, students and educators.
