Princess Kate had been beaming when she appeared alongside Prince William to join King Charles and Queen Camilla at the special reception at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.
The reception held on Tuesday had been an emotional event for the royal family as they remembered the late matriarch. Elizabeth held a significant position in their lives personally, apart from her role at the Queen.
There were many meaningful interactions between the royals and the guests - representatives of charities and organisations close to the late Queen. The Princess of Wales was a prominent attendee as she was seen warmly interacting with the people and sharing a story.
Kate’s emotional moment with retired police officer Tony Gledhill, 88, who was awarded the George Cross in 2008 for subduing armed criminals in 1966, particularly caught the attention of the royal fans. Moreover, it was one of the highlights chosen to be shared by Kensington Palace.
However, there was one slightly concerning detail that caught the eyes of the fans, as Kate was seen sporting a bandage on her finger.
This is not the first time the Princess has stepped out with a minor injury. In 2023, she sparked concern when she visited Hull as her two fingers were covered in bandage.
A spokesperson had to later clarify that it was “small injury, nothing serious”.
The recent injury also appears to be little less for concern since it didn't seem to cause any disruption in Kate's interactions. She was happily chatting away and it was probably once again a small incident in their daily routine.
